Even though entering their maiden continental adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel MuƱoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This occasion offered a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second consecutive match.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
